One flag base is on the bridge, accessible via teleporter from the hull. The Longsword has no weapons or anything special, and the handling is slow, but it's damn fun to just fly around in one of those things. The view jumps back to external and you can start flying.
You walk up the ramp into the front (you may have to crouch), turn around and walk into the cockpit, and hit 'E' when near the pilot seat. The lifepod can go through the hull of the Pillar of Autumn, but there's not much there.Īnd the one thing that really sets this map apart from the rest: The Longsword fighter! Yes, that's right, you can pilot the Longsword now. There are also pilotable lifepods and Pelican dropships, both capable of holding passengers. On the hull of the ship, you'll find all sorts of pilotable vehicles, including the H2 Banshee with boost (hold CTRL) and rolling/flipping (hit alternate fire). Even Halo is in the distance! The only part inside is the bridge, and at the back there's a teleporter that takes you outside.
It takes place in and around the Pillar of Autumn. If you don't have CE, get it, if only just for this map. This is so far one of my favorite maps for Halo Custom Edition.
